THE Canal & River Trust's requests for people to 'stay at home' and not use its towpaths—as expected—is a complete failure.
In fact from all accounts it has had the opposite effect with boaters galore telling us of the increased number using the towpaths over the Easter period. (Picture courtesy of EPA.)
