THE PERSHORE RIVER FESTIVAL is returning with the theme—Rock the Avon (don't wreck the Avon), focusing on river conservation.
It will take place on and by the Avon in Pershore on Saturday 19th July, Janet Friend reports.
On the river, visitors can enjoy the Bell Boat Regatta, with races for community teams including the Wychavon Parish Games.
The Avon Navigation Trust will bring its floating Waterways Centre, and boat trips will be available on the Princess Marina and Corsair. With the Wychavon Kayak and Canoe Club will offer canoe and kayak sessions and stand-up paddle boarding will be on offer.
14 musical acts
Land-based attractions will feature 14 musical acts throughout the day, organised by Paula Evans.
Food, craft, and charity stalls will be available together with a craft fair, an inflatable and Sumo Wrestling.
There will also be childrens' football and short tennis, and organisers hope to include displays by the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and guided tours of Avon Meadows Community Wetland.
