This closure will be from the bottom of Watford Lock 1 to Kings Lock 38 in Leicester where it joins the Soar.

Again, this is caused through lack of water with Canal & River Trust telling it has made the difficult decision to temporarily close the Leicester Line from Watford Lock 1 to Kings Lock 38, to navigation
This being effective from Tuesday 29th July 2025 at 4pm, telling it understands that this closure may cause inconvenience and disappointment, and the trust wants to reassure boaters that the decision has not been taken lightly.
