THE HERTFORD UNION LOCKS 1 to 3 will remain closed indefinitely.
This is the waterway connecting the Regents Canal and the Lee Navigation, Keith Gudgin reports.
It was closed on the 8th December with it told due to a boat strike—yet it believed it had not even been inspected.
Inspection
It being told by Canal & River Trust that it would have an inspection from its engineers by the 19th December.
But whatever, the trust tells that it will remain closed indefinitely at this time.
And that it will be able to publish its estimated timeline for any remedial works and the estimated closure length in the New Year.
It will give more information once its reactive teams have evaluated the damage.
