THERE HAS BEEN a successful repair to the cill at Lock 82 on the Rochdale Canal.
With the waterway now open, Keith Gudgin reports.
The closure on the 5th March was caused by a loose cill at Lock 82 which was preventing the lock being operated. This closing the navigation.
Solution devised
The local team attended to investigate and a solution was devised with the cill being repaired.
The lock is at Miles Platting in Manchester.
