A BOATER in the broad Aston Lock on the Trent & Mersey Canal fell off the rear of his boat last week, and drowned.
We are informed it was a traditional stern narrowboat, but this has not been confirmed.
Details are rather scarce, but we are told it took considerable time to get the body out of the lock.
