Making towpaths safer from cyclists

FREE bells were given to cyclists by the Eccleshill Neighbourhood Police Team and Bradford Council at Dobson Lock on the Leeds & Liverpool on Wednesday (30th September) to attempt to cut down on accidents between cyclist and pedestrians using the towpath.

The Trent & Mersey Canal Society magazine Grand Trunk, describes the greenfield site at Branston Bridge as ‘a very welcome and peaceful largely rural mooring', but the secretary believes  building a sports ground will further diminish rural moorings.
