THE broken paddle on the Huddersfield Canal on Lock 22W has been repaired.
With the navigation now open, Keith Gudgin reports.
Two paddles failed
However the two paddle failures on Lock 32W on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal have not yet been attended to with the navigation still closed at Dobcross at the entrance to Standedge Tunnel.
When boaters attempted to go through this lock they discovered they were unable to let water into the chamber as both paddles were totally inactive.
It is understood that work has now started at Lock 32W.
