A POSTCARD depicting two freight narrowboats has sold for £54.67 on Ebay.
It is understood the boats are pictured working through Chester locks, Janet Friend reports.
The boats depicted are Usk and Mole, with Usk being built in 1939 and Mole a few years later.
Quite an interest
There is quite an interest from collectors of old waterway postcards, in fact of any subject of the distant past. Flog It on BBC television often auctions postcards off at fairly high prices.
It seems there are many collectors these days.
