SunkOxfordThe  navigation is now clear and opened, Keith Gudgin reports.

It was on Saturday 16th February that the boat was discovered sunk across the waterway between bridges 4 and 5, preventing navigation, below Hawkesbury Junction.

Deserted

The West Midlands Fire Service had been called to the boat as it was not known if it was occupied, but was discovered to be deserted.

The boat has been refloated and moved away from the middle of the canal.
