WHILST the site has been out of action since the 27th February, things have been as normal, with 12 stoppages over the period.
And it does not look like getting much better, as Keith Gudgin reports.
Already this month there have been six stoppages with lock and bridge failures, with of course a Leeds & Liverpool Swing Bridge out of action.
Which is it?
But not so sure about this, for though Canal & River Trust tells that Bradley Swing Bridge 182A is out of order until further notice it adds that the navigation is open. [It was reopenened today, Wednesday.]
The sliding railway bridge at Keadby has also failed, and in the closed position so not available to boat traffic.
