THE LACK OF WATER is still closing many lock flights.
Atherstone Flight now has restricted opening times, adding to those being introduced on Claydon, Foxton, Marston Doles, Hillmorton and Watford lock flights.
This is in addition to all the flights on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal being closed. And the Rochdale remaining closed from Lock 48 to 92. In sending this information, Keith remarked:
"I have to smile when I think they were looking to use the canals to transport water from the north to the south. If that scheme had been implemented the south would be a little short now would it not?"

And the Woolhampton Swing bridge 31 on the Kennet & Avon Canal is currently closed to navigation with an electrical fault.
