TWO MORE BODIES have been found in rivers, who were not as lucky as the two women rescued from the Trent.
The bodies were found in the Thames and the Nene, Janet Friend reports.
It was a specialist search team looking for a young man who went missing in the Thames at Buscot Lock (pictured) near Faringdon.
Named William, he was in difficulty after entering the water at Buscot Lock, that prompted search and rescue teams including the National Police Air Service being called to the scene.
Search dogs and Oxfordshire Lowland Search & Rescue were also called to the scene, and eventually William's body was discovered in the river below the lock.
Nene
It was on Monday of this week that another body, this time an 80 years old woman was found by the river at the Nene Parade in Wisbech.
Police were called to the river when a report of a body in the river was received.
The body was later removed from the river and it is reported that an investigation is on-going.
