WORK IS COMPLETED on various closures with navigations now open.
Lee Navigation
Parndon Mill Lock on the Lee Navigation has now been repaired and the waterway reopened.
The stoppage was caused by the top gate out of its the pot, with then the fault being proven to be a more substantial issue than originally thought.
But this has all been attended to and the lock is again open for navigation.
Stourbridge Canal
It was the cill on Lock 15 of the Stourbridge Canal that caused the stoppage on the 17th of July.
But work was quickly carried out and work on the cill has now been completed and the navigation reopened.
Leicester Section
Foxton Lock Flight was closed due to a paddle failure on one of the lock gates of the flight.
This has been repaired and the flight re-opened.
New Junction Canal
Top Lane Lift Bridge 3 on the New Junction Canal has been repaired.
The lift bridge was out of action, due to a mechanical breakdown, with engineers attending but then unable to rectify the fault. The trust's mechanical and engineer team attended and the repairs have been carried out.
The bridge is now operational.
