NETWORK RAIL have confirmed that the temperature threshold for operating Keadby Rail Bridge has been raised from 15 degrees up to 16 degrees.

The company continues to work on potentially increasing this further, Keith Gudgin reports.

KeadbySlidingBridgeFrom 30% to 60%

This one degree should increase predicted availability of operation from 30% to 60%.

From Monday 4th August a weekly forecast prediction will be provided by Network Rail to advise on expected daily openings between 06:00 and 09:30.

The notice will be updated each week with a new weekly traffic light type prediction (red, amber, green).

Operating every day

For the rest of this week this shows that the sliding bridge is expected to be operating every day between these times.

It being green from today Friday until next Monday. This is intended as guidance and an estimate based on weather predictions for this week. Network Rail do not guarantee operations on these days.
