August had arrived (albeit a bit damp) and we are getting ready for our second big fundraising event at the depot, writes Mark.
This is the Produce Fair and Open Day on the 31st August, and volunteers are needed!
As ever it is a significant undertaking but a significant source of funds as we progress repairs on lock 16 and maintain the canal towards Grantham for the Three Shires trip boat.
Plenty to see
We will be having craft stalls, the usual GCS stalls, boat trips from lock 18 and the barbecue so it should be a good event!
In particular we would welcome any help in the following areas: Setting up the gazebos etc. Manning the bottle stall, bric-a-brac, book stall etc. The end of day clear up.
