THERE HAS BEEN the closure of yet another service facility.

This time it is the Lincoln Customer Service Facility on the Fossdyke, Keith Gudgin reports.

No reason

No reason has been given for its closure, it just being told yesterday, Tuesday, that is was closed.

It is the fifth service facility to be closed within weeks, it following the closure of Chesterfield, Hawkesbury Junction, Todmorden and Burnby Dunn.

We are told that what is worrying for boaters is that every closure notice contained the phrase—'The facilities are out of use and will remain closed subject to review in accordance with the Customer Service Facilities Policy'.

Difficult to understand

This policy is very involved and difficult to understand.

Which is making it very worrying, particularly for continuous cruisers, that are dependent on these facilities.
