low leics10am to 3pm

Today's restrictions mean that the three waterways are open from 10am to 3pm, but certain locks will be chained-up out of these hours.

As this depends on the water situations on the navigations these can alter accordingly.

If the weather situation fails to bring a great deal of rain, on Tuesday 26th August the three waterways will suffer closure with many locks chained-up until the reservoirs have more water.

Many closures already in operation

This of course is in addition to the many closures already in operation. The picture shows the Leicester Section that is closed.

But boaters will be pleased to hear that Canal & River Trust tell that boaters can still cruise between winding holes!
