We took the opportunity today to visit our boat at Braunston Marina and the excellent community cafe in the village, writes R J Spurr.
There were one or two boats moving on the canal but unfortunately Tiny Wave was well and truly grounded on its mooring along with a few more vessels.

So any chance of using the long pound between Napton and Hillmorton this side of Halloween has evaporated along with about 350mm depth water along this stretch.
A very nice CRT volunteer standing by the Gongoozlers café wanted me to join the cause, but understood perfectly my hopeless desire for a refund on my licence!
