THE THAMES HAS DRIED-UP eight miles from its source, and its level has fallen many miles down river.
With the climate change blamed, Janet Friend reports.
Continuing to fall
Thames Water have stated that groundwater and river levels were continuing to fall because of five consecutive months of below-average rainfall.
The mud in the bottom of the river has dried-up with people able to walk along the bottom in normal shoes.
All the fish and and other wildlife have died, and so have the American Crayfish, that locals say is not a bad thing.
The picture was taken eight miles from the source of the river.
Reduce water use
Thames Water spokesman told:
"We are following our drought plan which means we are aiming to reduce water use and protect our water resources and the environment."
