I'm writing to ask what the situation is regarding permanent moorings during this dreadful dry summer, writes Liz Armstrong.
The effects of which have caused so much anger across the canal network.
My son lives permanently on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and has done so for five years.
His section of the canal is currently empty of water with padlocks above and below his mooring.
I would appreciate some advice as to where he stands financially towards payments for his licence. My argument is that C&RT are failing in their duty of care towards boat people .
My son is classed as a vulnerable adult, (he is 55) and relies on the sanctuary that his boat provides for his health and wellbeing.
I would like to know if I can get his monthly payments held back until such time that the leaks are fixed and the locks reopened. I am attaching a picture taken on Saturday 30th August.
