AS WE REPORTED, a load of rubble was illegally tipped into the Walsall Lock Flight.
This was behind Lock 3 of the flight on the Walsall Canal, Keith Gudgin reports.
As the Canal & River Trust team was unable to handle this when it was discovered last Thursday, the 19th February the flight remains closed to navigation.
Effort to clear
It is believed an effort will be made to clear it today, Tuesday.
The tipping of this rubble in the waterway, is worrying as obviously someone has found a way to dispose of their rubble, or any kind of waste, without having to pay, and all too often there are tracks to the canals allowing vehicle access.
