A FACTORY FIRE HAS CLOSED the Bradley Arm of the Old Main Line.

With the navigation closed from Deepfield's Junction Bridge to Gas Pipe Bridge, Keith Gudgin reports.
There was a major fire close to Deepfield's Road Bridge that has closed the navigation yesterday, Sunday.
The problem is that the run-off water from the ground is entering the canal via surface water discharge outlets, that has resulted in pollution of the waterway.
In addition, a great amount of coal dust has also settled across the waterway.
Contain the pollution
The operations team is on site and is working to contain the pollution and to prevent further environmental impact.
It is of course not known when this will be completed and the navigation reopened.
