THE NORTHAMPTON ARM of the Grand Union Canal is still short of water between Lock 14 and Lock 15.

It was on the 7th April that the Northampton Arm was first closed through lack of water, with the advice to use the other locks with care.

But still the water level between the two locks is low, possibly the leaking gates not helping matters.

Continuing to work

However, the trust tells that its people are continuing to work on water management in this area.

It asks boaters to please try and avoid using this section of canal as it may take a few days for the levels to come back up.

The Northampton Arm connects the Grand Union Canal with the Nene.
