NETWORK RAIL IS GIVING boaters a chance to get through the rail drawbridge at Keadby on the Stainforth & Keadby Canal.
4am to 7am
However this will be from 4am to 7am in the mornings, Keith Gudgin reports.
But this drawbridge is subject to temperature, meaning that it will only be operated provided the bridge temperature is 15°C or below.
Saturday 28/06/25 and Sunday 29/06/25: The bridge will not be operational due to forecasted high temperatures across the weekend.
Resume daily
From Monday 30/06/25 onward: The 04:00am to 07:00am operating window will resume daily, again subject to the bridge temperature being 15°C or lower.
Further discussions between Canal & River Trust are ongoing with the aim of extending and improving the bridge's operating window. The image below shows the work on the sliding bridge last year.
