THE LACK OF WATER is now affecting the southern canals with the South Stratford closed.
With every pound suffering lack of water, Keith Gudgin reports.
However the trust is not aware how this occurred and states 'unfortunately every pound has been emptied either by accident or a malicious act of vandalism.
Other stoppages yesterday
The other stoppages on Sunday were;
* Selby Canal with its swing bridge out of action. But this time it is stated it was a 'Heat related fault'.
* Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation is closed at Long Sandall Lock due to an issue with the user pedestals.
* Wakefield Branch (Aire & Calder) Kings Road Lock by a problem in the power supply and battery charging system.
Quickly mended
Both the Selby Swing Bridge and the Kings Road Lock have been repaired, with assignations reopened.
