FOLLOWING ON THE previous two sexual attacks on the Nottingham Canal comes yet another.
With a girl reported being sexually assaulted in the early hours of yesterday, Sunday, whilst walking the towpath of the Nottingham Canal, Janet Friend reports.
19 years old girl
This follows our report of a 19 years old girl being raped and a 40 years old woman being sexually assaulted by the waterway.
Officers with specialist training were deployed to offer support and an area of the towpath has been cordoned off while investigations take place, with Detective Sergeant Lee Kirk, of Nottinghamshire Police, explaining:
“We understand the concern incidents of this nature can cause and uniformed officers will be in the area to offer reassurance and support.
“Alongside this, a team of detectives are working hard on the investigation.
“It is important anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information, or relevant footage, gets in touch without delay.”
