STOP PLANKS were inserted at the entrance to Bugsworth Basin on the 4th of August.
But they have made no difference to the water levels on the Peak Forest Canal, as the photograph that Jonathan Molyneux took yesterday, Thusday, shows, with Jonathan telling:
No discernable difference
"Despite being installed for three weeks, there doesn't appear to be any discernable difference in water levels."
He is currently moored just outside Whaley Bridge, with water levels having dropped with most boats on the bottom with varying degrees of list, his own boat pictured.
