THE SANKEY CANAL RETORATION SOCIETY is wanting volunteers.
This is to help cut back overgrown areas and clear the coping stones, Janet Friend reports.
This will be the last volunteer event by the society this year, and they tell they welcome everyone willing to participate.
The meeting point is the car park by the canal off Liverpool Road, Warrington.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear old clothes and to bring their own food and drink. Waterproof clothing is advisable if wet, along with sturdy boots.
