LAPWORTH LOCK 9 is currently closed due to a void that is behind the lock wall.
Canal & River Trust reactive response team attended the site yesterday, Wednesday to identify the issue, Keith Gudgin reports.
The repair plan has been developed with the team attending today Thursday and tomorrow Friday.
Open on Monday
The team will carry out the necessary works, with the aim of reopening navigation on Monday afternoon of the 22nd.
It was on the 8th of December that the void was discovered and the lock closed to navigation.
