THE BROKEN PADDLES have been repaired on two locks and navigations reopened.
An important red paddle has been repaired on Foxton Flight on the Leicester Section, Keith Gudgin reports.
With the flight reopened yesterday, Thursday.
The first attempt at repair was not successful on the red paddle that failed on the 22nd December, but the second attempt was successful.
Rochdale Canal
A paddle on Lock 57 on the Rochdale Canal failed on the 3rd of January.
A team attended the failure but had to continue to investigate a solution for a repair.
The solution was obviously successful as the repair was carried out yesterday, Thursday, and the navigation reopened.
