ON SUNDAY SEVERAL PERSONAL items were discovered with a thin layer of frost on them by the Avon at Pershore.
Members of the public alerted West Mercia Police, who put out a call for information, Janet Friend reports.
Altogether there was a cushioned trolley, walking stick and a M&S puffer jacket, that prompted an immediate search of the river by a special team.
Man's body
Yesterday, Thursday, a man's body was discovered in the river at Pershore, and it was confirmed that the items left by the river belonged to the man.
He has not yet been named.
Navigation was halted during the period of the search.
