YESTERDAY SAW TWO LOCK REPAIRS completed and navigation reopened.
These were on the Llangollen and Leeds & Liverpool canals, Keith Gudgin reports.
Navigation is now fully open following the successful repair works at Wrenbury Frith Bridge on the Llangollen Canal.
This was closed owing to a damaged handle mechanism.
Leeds & Liverpool Canal
The Leeds & Liverpool Canal suffered a snapped collar on a Lock 61 that closed the navigation as the gate could not be worked.
This two was repaired yesterday, Wednesday. with the navigation now restored.
Both repairs were quickly completed.
