FRIENDS of the Gloucester Waterways Museum have arranged talks this winter in Coots Conference Suite adjacent to the Museum.
The Winter Talks are:
Tuesday 27th September—The Grand Canal of China by Liam D'Arcy Brown, who was the first westerner in recent times to journey the full length of the Grand Canal.
Tuesday 25th October—Severn Trows by Brian Bailey, who is the BBC Radio Gloucestershire presenter, Brian will be talking about the famous Severn Trows that once graced our waterway.
Tuesday 22nd November—Lydney's Lost Fleet by Paul Barnett, who is renowned for saving the 'Purton Wrecks', those old boats that line the foreshore of the Severn. His current talk features the other side of the river at Lydney, about the lost fleet of this small countryside dock.
All talks commence at 7.30pm, are free and include light refreshments at the end of the evening.
