Victor: It's getting worse

I WAS really hoping to make this an account of our cruise without having to resort to my  sometimes most three complaints concerning Cart—ridiculous visitor numbers, waste of money and the state of the waterways.

Large Thames pleasure boat on fire

A DOUBLE decker pleasure boat caught fire and crashed into a pier at Canary Wharf this afternoon (Sunday) with 142 passengers on board.

Victor: The Avon again

AFTER 11 years we thought it was time for the Avon again, so being able to pick up our boat at Stratford, it was the parting of 50 quid for the privilege and off on the river we went.
