THE Canal & River Trust have produced statistics showing that boaters are more and more satisfied with the way it is looking after the waterways!

Further statistics it states show that there is an increase in those who feel that resources are being spent where most needed—from 30% to 40%.

More open and transparent

A number of boaters, the trust states, were contacted with just under a half of them stating they 'know the Trust very well or a fair amount', up from 35% to 48%, with this being taken by the trust as meaning it is being more open and transparent.

And up from 58% to 63% trusting the charity to look after the waterways.

Take your pick

During a very short snap poll in narrowboatworld last year, in answer to the question 'Is Canal & River Trust fit for purpose', we all saw the result: No—868.  Yes—132.
