A cruising licence?

READING David Hymers' suggestion that CaRT should do away with a separate ‘Mooring Permit' by increasing the cost of the ‘Cruising Licence' to offset the lost revenue, I noted also that there was an email of support from John Kerley a few days later. Sounds like a good idea with support. But is it? Asks Orph Mable.

Financial incentive?

John Kerley seems to suggest that there is a financial incentive to be a continuous moorer. Other than the need not to pay for a home mooring, what incentive for declaring yourself to be a continuous cruiser does he imagine there is? Asks Mike Todd.

Email: Sensible proposal

David Hymer's suggestion, in his column on 19th December, that mooring fees be abolished and that the revenue lost be made up by an increase in licence fees is the most sensible proposal I have heard yet in the discussion on continuous cruisers.
