A great day....until

SUNDAY was a great day on the Aire & Calder until we reached Pollington Lock when No 1 son dodged a pile of dog muck walking up to operate the lock and his foot went over on a hole hidden in the grass. All we hear is a large splash, look round and No 1 son is nowhere in sight, writes Drew Hudson.

We were following a boat out of Braunston and, keeping our distance, so were able to maintain 3 mph, checked on the Smartphone GPS. We both slowed to pass Tumbleweed who was moored almost in bridge 100, writes Kevin McNiff.
