BWML makes a £877,642 loss!

THE Canal & River Trust's marina subsidiary, made a loss of £877,642 during its 2014/15 financial year, that compares with a small profit of £77,210 in 2013/14 and a much larger profit of £402,305 in 2012/13.

Navigation open for one day

IT HAS been agreed by the Environment Agency that it will partially reopen the Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation, that is at present closed, today, Wednesday,  between 8.00am and 4.30pm.

THE stoppage saga continues, but this time we were not so lucky. Having waited at Wigan for them to finish the repair to Poolstock Top Lock we received an email to the effect that the Bridgewater was now shut for three weeks at Old Trafford while they demolished a building.
