Survey cannot help

I feel that Canal & River Trust in its attempt to get more boaters on to the tidal Trent should have someone who knows telling prospective boaters what is what, for I cannot see how a survey completed by people who have not used it can help, writes, James Henry.

A MAN was found on fire on the towpath of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal in Blackburn over the holiday period, and later died from his burns.

Further to 'Natural England stops restoration' and 'Thwarted by Bureaucracy' by Orph Mable, I hear the Montgomery Canal restoration is also suffering from inactivity by Natural England, having applied for a 'Newt Licence' in early June last year and have still not got one.
