A CHILD sex offender, wanted by the police, is believed to be living on a narrowboat and using the canals to evade capture.

Michael Crabb, 53, was released from prison under strict licence conditions, but has breached them and is now wanted by the police, and was last seen on a narrowboat on the Grand Union Canal at Uxbridge, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Nine years

He was originally jailed for undisclosed child sex offences, for which he served nine years, but was released subject to licence conditions, and is alleged to be in breach of the condition for failing to notify a change of address, so he is now being recalled to prison.

The police having been told of the sighting at Uxbridge believe he is using the canals to evade capture, as he previously took refuge on a narrowboat. If seen, the police are warning the public not to approach him but to call 999 or or Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111.
